How to export consent evidence

Download the stored consent log for a website or for a single visitor reference.

4 min

1

Open the consent log

Open the website from the dashboard and scroll to the consent log. It lists the consent events currently stored for that website, newest first, and is available to users with access to the website.

2

Export the website log

Use the CSV export to download the loaded consent events. Each row carries the timestamp, event type, decision, accepted categories, configuration version, widget version, selected language and the pseudonymous visitor reference.

3

Export a single visitor reference

Enter a pseudonymous visitor reference to export the records held for it as JSON. Use this path when you answer an access request or need to reconstruct one visitor decision history.

4

Export before you lose the records

Consent evidence is kept for the retention period included in your plan or agreed in writing. Export the evidence you must keep longer before any event that shortens or ends that period.

  • Before a downgrade or a cancellation.
  • Before a suspension or the end of beta access.
  • Before you shorten a retention setting.
  • Backups serve disaster recovery, not customer-facing archiving.
